Ingredients
- 1 ball pizza dough
- Basil pesto
- Italian cheese blend, shredded
- Tomatoes, thinly sliced
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Mozzarella, fresh
- Parmesan, shredded
- Basil, fresh
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:
Caprese Pizza
- Preheat oven to 425º.
- Cover pizza pan with foil. Spray foil with Pam. Stretch out dough to cover pan.
- Parbake pizza dough for 8 minutes. Remove from oven.
- Spread pesto evenly over dough leaving 1” of bare crust.
- Sprinkle Italian blend cheese evenly over crust.
- Evenly space tomato slices over dough so that they’re not overlapping. Salt and pepper tomatoes. Top with more Italian blend cheese.
- Evenly space fresh mozzarella slices over dough so that they each have enough room to melt into the spaces between them. Top with parmesan.
- Bake for 20-22 minutes or until cheese is bubbling.
- Remove from oven and top with fresh basil. Serve.
