Ingredients

Instant Pot Italian Chicken

  • 1/2 medium onion, diced
  • 1/2 head garlic, minced
  • 24 oz pasta sauce
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 Tbsp dried basil
  • 1 Tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp Calabrian chiles
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

 

Chicken Parm Pull Apart Bread

  • 1 cup + 2 Tbsp warm water
  • 1.5 tsp instant yeast
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 3 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1.75 tsp salt
  • 3 cups bread flour, plus more as needed
  • 8 oz block cream cheese
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 Tbsp freshly chopped basil
  • 2 Tbsp freshly chopped oregano
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Shredded Instant Pot Italian chicken
  • 2 healing cups mozzarella provolone cheese blend
  • Milk, for brushing dough

 

Butter Sauce

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 head garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:
Chicken Parm Pull Apart Bread

Instant Pot Italian Chicken

  1. Add all ingredients to InstantPot and toss to combine.
  2. Pressure cook on high for 8 mins then natural release for at least 20 mins.
  3. Shred chicken very finely (we used an electric hand mixer). Add 1 cup (liquid measuring cup) sauce from pot to shredded chicken. Stir to combine. Set aside.

 

Chicken Parm Pull-Apart Bread

  1. ​​In a stand mixer bowl, combine water, yeast, sugar, butter, and salt. Let yeast activate for about 5 mins or until mixture gets puffy.
  2. Using a dough hook attachment on low speed, gradually add flour.
  3. Once flour is completely added, increase speed to medium and knead the dough for 10-15 mins, or until elastic. Add more flour if needed.
  4. Transfer dough to a lightly oiled bowl and cover. Let rest for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  6. In a small bowl, add cream cheese, garlic, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper then mix until well-combined. Set aside.
  7. On a floured working surface, roll out dough flat in a rectangular shape, about 15” long and 13” wide. Spreading evenly over dough, top with cream cheese mixture, chicken, and cheese blend.
  8. Starting with end of dough nearest you, tightly roll dough into itself like a sleeping bag. Slice rolled dough into 14 equal pieces. Transfer to a greased, round/oval baking dish. Generously brush top of bread with milk.
  9. Bake at 350ºF for 50-60 mins. If top of bread begins to darken too quickly, tent with aluminum foil. Once bread is finished baking, remove from oven and brush generously with Butter Sauce. Serve immediately.

 

Butter Sauce

  1. Gently melt butter in microwave. In a small bowl, add butter to reset of ingredients then stir until well-integrated. Serve immediately.
