Crockpot Sub Shop Cheesesteaks Recipe
These Crockpot Sub Shop Cheesesteaks will battle it out with any of your favorite sub spot down the street. Slow-cooked shredded beef. Garlic aioli. Havarti cheese. Tomato. Pepper rings. All broiled to perfection.

Ingredients
Crockpot Beef
- 1 beef chuck roast
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1 16oz. jar pepperoncini
- Beef stock
- 1 envelope Good Seasons Zesty Italian salad dressing mix
- Garlic powder
- Oregano, dried
- Basil, dried
- Crushed red pepper
- Salt
- Pepper
Sub Build
- Mayo (or garlic aioli)
- Havarti cheese
- Romaine lettuce, chopped
- Tomatoes, sliced
- Pepperoncini rings
- Shredded beef
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:

Crockpot Beef
- Cut roast into quarters. Season pieces with salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste.
- Heat butter in pan over medium-high heat. Sear beef pieces on all asides, about 1-2 minutes per side. Remove from heat.
- Arrange beef pieces in crockpot. Sprinkle salad dressing mix evenly over pieces. Season with garlic powder, basil, oregano, crushed red pepper, salt, and pepper to taste.
- Top beef pieces with 8-10 pepperoncini. Add about 1/4 cup pepperoncini juice to bottom of crockpot. Add beef stock until liquid level is about 3/4 the way up the height of the beef pieces.
- Cover crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours. Once finished, shred beef.
Sub Build
- Set oven broiler to high. Build sandwiches.
- On a foil-lined sheet, broil sandwiches until cheese is melted and starts to bubble/turn golden brown. Serve.
