Crockpot Beef

  1. Cut roast into quarters. Season pieces with salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste.
  2. Heat butter in pan over medium-high heat. Sear beef pieces on all asides, about 1-2 minutes per side. Remove from heat.
  3. Arrange beef pieces in crockpot. Sprinkle salad dressing mix evenly over pieces. Season with garlic powder, basil, oregano, crushed red pepper, salt, and pepper to taste.
  4. Top beef pieces with 8-10 pepperoncini. Add about 1/4 cup pepperoncini juice to bottom of crockpot. Add beef stock until liquid level is about 3/4 the way up the height of the beef pieces.
  5. Cover crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours. Once finished, shred beef.

Sub Build

  1. Set oven broiler to high. Build sandwiches.
  2. On a foil-lined sheet, broil sandwiches until cheese is melted and starts to bubble/turn golden brown. Serve.
