Ingredients

Parmesan Peppercorn Dipping Sauce

  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 tsp cracked black peppercorns
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan

 

Fried Banana Peppers

  • 48 oz Mt Olive Hot Banana Pepper Rings
  • 1.75 cups flour
  • 2 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 Tbsp dried basil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Canola oil, for frying

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together all ingredients until well-combined. Chill until ready for use.

 

Fried Banana Peppers

  1. In a Dutch oven or pot, heat about 1-inch of canola oil to 370ºF.
  2. In a large bowl storage bag, add flour, garlic powder, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix until well-combined. Add peppers then toss until evenly coated.
  3. Working in small batches (about a handful), fry peppers in oil until golden brown (about 1.5-2 mins). Remove from oil with strainer spoon, then transfer to paper towel-lined tray to drain. Repeat with remaining peppers. Serve immediately with Parmesan Peppercorn Dipping Sauce.
