Ingredients
- (1) 32 oz jar mild banana pepper rings
- 1 3/4 cup liquid from pepper jar
- 1 head of garlic, sliced
- 1 Tbsp dried oregano
- 1 Tbsp dried basil
- 1 tsp crushed red pepper
- 1/2 cup olive oil
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:
Hot Italian Peppers in Oil
1. Reserve 1 3/4 cup liquid from pepper rings jar. Leave peppers in 32 oz jar without any liquid in it.
2. In a small pot over medium heat, combine all ingredients except pepper rings. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-10 minutes. Remove from heat and pour pot liquid over pepper rings in jar. Shake jar to make sure that garlic and herbs are well distributed. You can serve immediately, but flavor is best after letting marinate in fridge for at least 3-4 days.
