Mango Habanero Wings

  1. In a blender, add mango nectar, mango, habanero, vinegar, brown sugar, onion powder, and salt. Blend until smooth. Set aside.
  2. In a large pan over medium-high heat, melt butter. Add garlic and ginger and cook for 2-3 minutes or until tender and fragrant.
  3. Whisk in tequila and continue simmering for 2-3 minutes, or until alcohol is cooked out.
  4. Whisk in mango habanero purée to pan and bring to simmer. Continue to simmer for another 10-15 minutes. Consistency should be similar to apple sauce, but still loose enough to drip a bit when wings are tossed in sauce. If sauce is over-reduced, whisk in water 1/4 cup at a time to reach desired consistency. Remove from heat and set aside.
  5. Preheat grill to medium heat.
  6. Cook wings for 20-25 minutes, rotating every 3 minutes or so. Remove from heat and let rest.
  7. To serve: Toss wings in mango habanero sauce. Garnish wings with chili lime seasoning. Enjoy!
