Ingredients
- 1 lb thick-cut bacon
- 4 Tbsp butter, room temperature
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1 piece of lavash bread
- 4 medium bananas, sliced into 1/2” wheels
- Chocolate hazelnut spread
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:
The King’s Banana Nut Crunch
- Preheat gas griddle to medium heat.
- In a medium bowl, add butter, brown sugar, pecans, and walnuts. Mix until well-combined.
- Grill nut mixture for 3-5 minutes or until caramelized and darkened but not burnt. Remove from griddle and set aside.
- Cook bacon on griddle on both sides until fat is fully rendered, about 5-7 mins per side (or until desired doneness). Remove from griddle to a paper towel to drain. Once cooled, chop bacon into ¾” to 1” pieces. Set aside.
- To build The King’s Banana Nut Crunch: spread chocolate hazelnut spread generously over one entire side of a piece of lavash bread. Top 1/2 of the bread with a layer of banana, then bacon, then nuts to taste. Fold in half and press lightly to make bread stick together.
- Melt 1 Tbsp butter on grill. Brown sandwich on both sides, about 2-3 mins per side. Remove from grill, cut in half, then drizzle with hot chocolate hazelnut spread over top the halves. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
