Ingredients
- 16 oz dried gnocchi
- 1 lb ground Hot Italian sausage
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1 Tbsp flour
- 12 oz jar Heinz HomeStyle Roasted Garlic & Rosemary Gravy
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 Tbsp crushed red pepper
- 16 oz jar roasted red peppers
- 4 cups chopped kale
- 1 cup Italian blend shredded cheese
- Freshly grated parmesan, for garnish
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:
Tuscan Gnocchi al Forno
- Preheat oven to 375ºF.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Boil gnocchi according to package instructions. Strain water and set aside.
- While waiting for water to come to a boil: in a large pan over medium heat, add oil. Sauté mushrooms until just tender. Stir in sausage and brown until completely cooked through. Remove mushrooms & sausage from the pan and set aside.
- In same pan over medium heat, melt butter then whisk in flour until well integrated. Cook for 1-2 mins, then whisk in gravy and heavy cream until flour is completely dissolved. Stir in crushed red pepper. Bring to a simmer and continue simmering for 4-5 mins, or until desired thickness. Stir in roasted red peppers, chopped kale, sausage, cooked gnocchi, and 1 cup Italian blend cheese. Continue cooking for another 1-2 mins or until cheese is melted and integrated.
- Transfer pan contents to a baking dish. Bake for 20-25 mins, or until sauce is bubbling throughout. Remove from oven and garnish with Parmesan. Enjoy!
