Sparkling Cucumber Margarita Recipe
This Sparkling Cucumber Margarita is a toast to your youth. Even if you’re still young. Because, before you know it, staying up past 11PM will become a tradeoff between the joy of pretending you can still hang and the wrath of crawling through the next day like you’ve just fell out of a carwreck. And by then you will have tasted many a margarita, so much so that even a cucumber margarita can’t get you excited anymore. So you’ll have to add a little splash of life to it. A little sparkle. And maybe you’ll whisper some Lil Wayne lyrics to yourself. And maybe you’ll low-key twerk on your way to the bathroom to pee for the third time this hour.
- Salt & lime zest mixture, for garnish
- 2 oz tequila blanco
- 1 oz orange liqueur
- 1/2 oz simple syrup
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1.5 oz cucumber juice (be sure to leave the peels on when juicing)
- 2 oz Prosecco
- Cucumber ribbon, for garnish
- In a shaker, combine all ingredients (except Prosecco) with ice in a shaker. Shake until well-chilled. Pour into margarita glass partially filled with ice. Top off with Prosecco. Garnish with cucumber ribbon on a cocktail sword. Enjoy!
